Chipotle Catering Is A Great Idea And The Prices Are Good

There is no doubt that Chipotle offer a great range of organic food and you can now order catering from them for a reasonable price. They always cook fresh and they will never use frozen ingredients for their delicious Mexican food.

The company prides itself on using the finest quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. It claims to have a total regard for the environment, animals, and food growers and their commitment has been described as “food with integrity”.

They should not be classified as a fast food restaurant like many others because they never use deep fat fryers or use any artificial ingredients. If you are into healthy eating and you want your friends and family to enjoy this too then Chipotle is a very good choice.

If you have never been to a Chipotle restaurant then the nearest comparison is a Subway food outlet where you can choose your ingredients for your burrito. Customers form a line and choose exactly what they want from the healthy ingredients that are on offer.

What About The Chipotle Catering Menu?

Chipotle now offers catering across the United States. It is a great idea for your office party, meeting with a number of people or other social events at home. There is a minimum requirement of six people and a maximum of two hundred.

The Chipotle catering menu contains everything that you would expect to see in one of their restaurants. Their catering is suitable for just about any event that you are planning and your guests will admire your choice.

Burritos By The Box

chipotle catering burritos by the boxIf you have a fairly small event and don’t have a lot of space to set up a spread, then Chipotle Burritos By The Box is a very good option. With this, you can mix and match your choice of meat, sofritas and there is a vegetarian option.

If you don’t want the hassle of making your own choice then you can ask them to do it for you. This is not as crazy as it sounds, especially if you have a large number of people at your event. With the choices on offer, it could take a long time for everybody to make up their minds!

There is a minimum requirement of 6 people for the Burritos By The Box option and each burrito will contain white or brown cilantro-lime rice, black beans, cheese, fresh tomato salsa and for every 2 burritos, they will provide a bag of chips with tomatillo green chili salsa, sour cream, and guacamole.

If you have a party of over 20 people then you will have to provide Chipotle with 24 hours notice of your order. If your party is less than 20 there is no requirement to give them advance notice of your order.

Large Catering Spreads

With the larger catering options, you will be able to create your own taco and bowl option. There are up to three meat choices and you will get fajita veggies, brown and white rice, pinto and black beans, cheese, chips, soft flour, crispy corn tortillas, sour cream, guacamole and all four salsas.

With the Two Meat Spread option, you have the choice of two types of meat and you can pick from barbacoa, carnitas, chicken, sofritas and steak. The Big Spread offers a further choice of another meat and will also include fajita vegetables with your order.

There is also a Veggie Spread where you have the choice of sofrito and fajita veggies or extra guacamole and fajita veggies.

Every spread order will include brown and white cilantro-lime rice, pinto beans and black beans, roasted chili corn salsa, fresh tomato salsa, tomatillo red chili salsa, tormatillo green chili salsa, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, taco shells, chips and soft flour taco tortillas.

Bowls, forks, and napkins are supplied with each spread order along with chaffing stands, steam pans, fuel and serving spoons and tongs. For all spread orders, you must order 24 hours in advance of your planned event.

Chips And Salsa Spreads

chipotl catering chips and salsaIf you just require a snack type of spread for your event or meeting then the Chips and Salsa Spreads are ideal for this. You will receive freshly made chips with guacamole and salsas. There is a minimum requirement of 10 people per order.

Depending upon the number of people attending your event (or how hungry you think that people will be) you can choose from the Big Chip Spread or the aptly named Bigger Chip Spread. The Big Chip Spread is for around 10 – 15 people while the Bigger Chip Spread is designed for 15 – 20 people.

With both of these spreads, you will receive your freshly cooked chips, guacamole, tomatillo-green chili salsa, tomatillo red chili salsa, roasted chili corn salsa and a fresh tomato salsa. For all Chips and Salsa spread orders, you need to tell Chipotle 24 hours in advance.

Chipotle Catering Prices

You are probably wondering “how much does Chipotle catering cost per person?” Well, the answer is that it is very reasonable considering the large amount of food that you will receive.

For the Burritos By The Box option, you are looking at a cost of just $8.75 per person. This is very good value especially if you have a relatively small number of people and don’t have the inclination for a big spread.

The larger spreads are really good value as there is significantly more food on offer and your guests will be able to make their own taco or bowl combinations. The Big Spread (3 meat choice) comes in at just $13.50 per person, the Two Meat Spread is just $12 a person and the Veggie Spread is the same price at just $12 per person.

Finally, there are the Chips and Salsa spreads. The Big Chip Spread will cost just $40 in total and the Bigger Chip Spread is just $55 in total.

There is no doubt that the Chipotle catering cost compares favorably with other restaurant chains that do not offer the same level of quality. If you are planning a large event such as a wedding and you want to go for Chipotle catering, get friendly with your local restaurant manager beforehand.

Chipotle Mexican Grill History

Chipotle started as a small burrito shop in Boulder, Colorado, Chipotle Mexican Grill has now over 1,000 locations in the US, UK, and Canada. Having studied as at the Culinary Institute of America, Chipotle founder Steve Els wanted to start his own fine dining restaurant. But he realized that he did not have enough money to finance this venture. So, with a loan from his father, Els opened the first Chipotle Mexican Grill in 1993 as a way to raise money that he could use to finance his restaurant and keep Chipotle prices down. But when the burrito shop became a successful venture, he opened two more Chipotle Mexican Grill outlet in 1995 and another five in 1996. Chipotle has grown to become the go-to specialty food shop. In a Reuters report dated July 27, 2014, Morningstar analyst RJ. Hottovy was quoted as saying that Chipotle has a very loyal client base, notably among the Generation Y or those who were born between the 1980s and 1990s.

  1. I loveeeee Chipotle! Chipotle is my lifeeee! There’s nothing like a Chipotle bowl. My favorite is their Steak bowl with white rice. But there’s nothing I hate more than when they don’t put enough steak or rice! It drives me crazy.

  2. Why are the catering prices per person more than the per person prices if you were to just walk into a Chipotle and order the same thing? They’re getting more business from you and charging you more, it doesn’t make sense.

  3. Do not eeeeeeever order Chipotle catering. They serve you so little although they charge you more per person than per burrito. I ordered for 25 people and embarrassingly ran out of food after 15. Either they serve too much at the restaurants to skew our judgment of how much food should be in our bowls or Chipotle Catering is just a waste of money!

I love Chipotle and will NEVER stop eating at this establishment (even during their E. Coli mess), but Chipotle Catering did me dirty. I am very sad about that.
